NASHVILLE, Tenn. (June 26, 2020) —National Seating & Mobility (NSM), the leading provider of complex rehabilitation, mobility and accessibility solutions, has been recognized as a 2020 Top Workplaces winner by The Tennessean. The list is based solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by employee engagement technology partner Energage, LLC.

“NSM is honored to be named a Middle Tennessee Top Workplace again this year,” said Bill Mixon, NSM CEO. “Our mission-centered culture of leadership is foundational to who we are as a company. This has been vitally important in recent months as our company, industry and country have faced a global pandemic. Although it has been challenging for us all, I have been proud to witness our team members come together in incredible ways to support each other and the individuals we serve.”

Employee feedback supporting the award is gathered through an anonymous survey that uniquely measures 15 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection.

“In times of great change, it is more important than ever to maintain a connection among employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “When you give your employees a voice, you come together to navigate challenges and shape your path forward based on real-time insights into what works best for your organization. The Top Workplaces program can be that positive outcome your company can rally around in the coming months to celebrate leadership and the importance of maintaining an employee focused culture, even during challenging times.”

NSM operates 152 branches across the U.S. and in Canada. The company staffs more than 1,900 employees, 70 of which work in the Franklin-based support center and Middle Tennessee area branches.

Throughout the evolving COVID-19 situation, NSM pressed forward to provide continuity of care while mitigating risk and protecting staff and clients through safety measures and alternative service options. NSM recently announced the company’s Serving Safely Commitment, which represents the company’s focus on business practices prioritizing the health and safety of clients. The multi-faceted Commitment incorporates additional operational guidance into rigorous protocols already in place through NSM’s accreditation by The Joint Commission.
